According to the most recent data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on July 10, commercial vehicle sales growth in the first half of this year has been notably slower compared to passenger cars. In the first six months of the year, passenger car production reached 3.514 million units, while sales totaled 3.0841 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 20.86% and 22.26%, respectively. In contrast, commercial vehicle production and sales stood at 1.305 million and 1.2897 million units, showing growth rates of 26.12% and 25.89% year-over-year. Looking at the top-selling commercial vehicle brands from January to June, the leading companies were Beiqi Foton, Dongfeng, FAW, Jianghuai, Jinbei, CNHTC, Changan, Jiangling, Nanqi, and Shaanxi Auto. Together, these ten manufacturers accounted for a total of 865,500 commercial vehicles sold during the period, representing 67.26% of the overall market share. This highlights the dominance of these key players in the commercial vehicle segment, even as the sector continues to grow at a slightly slower pace than the passenger car market. The strong performance of commercial vehicles suggests continued demand for freight and logistics solutions across China.
