Custer Park FPD and Braidwood Fire Department news (more)

The Braidwood Fire Protection District is officially starting to staff their station tomorrow, October 16th, at 6 AM. What an incredible effort from the Braidwood firefighters, their administration, and volunteers who worked incredibly fast to get the station back up and running after taking over our district’s responsibilities. They’ve painted the entire interior and garage doors, upgraded the IT infrastructure with a brand new data closet, done a full deep clean and sanitization, and helped us inventory remaining assets and prepare surplus equipment for sale. We know the past five months have been tough and full of uncertainty, but we’re excited to move forward with our new partner. For the first time in Custer FPD history, we’ll now be able to offer a 24/7 staffed ALS transport ambulance to our community. It’s a huge milestone and a big step forward for us all.
