Known as the "Island in the City," the Norwood Park Fire Protection District has just taken delivery of their brand-new #Velocity 100' #Ascendant Tower. This impressive aerial platform will greatly enhance their ability to respond to emergencies in the district’s numerous high-rise buildings. The mid-mount design was selected for its superior maneuverability and enhanced visibility at the front of the vehicle.
Serving an area covering 6.5 square miles, the district responds to approximately 4,000 calls annually while providing fire protection to over 25,000 residents.
