Pakistan exempts import tax on auto parts

According to Pakistan’s “Business Record” report, the Pakistani government decided to exempt 15-35% import surcharges for auto parts imported from domestic automobile manufacturing and assembly companies. According to the new tax, Pakistani automobile manufacturing and assembly companies need to submit a production plan to the Quanban Engineering Committee. The imported parts must be used for vehicle manufacturing within three years, or an import surcharge will be imposed.
