Recently, the National Key Laboratory Project of the 11th Five-Year Plan for Scientific and Technological Support Projects undertaken by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including the 600MW supercritical circulating fluidized bed boiler, has passed the acceptance test. This topic is one of the six topics set for the supercritical circulating fluidized bed project. It is mainly to verify the supercritical circulating fluidized bed technology that is completely designed, manufactured and operated in China. The operation shows that China has mastered the key technologies such as start-up and commissioning of the 600MW supercritical CFB boiler, reasonable operation of the unit, performance and testing, and achieved the 168-hour operation assessment of the demonstration project unit. The performance of this boiler is better than that of foreign related technologies. The power generation efficiency is approximately 4 percentage points higher than that of the critical circulating fluidized bed boiler, and the steam and combustion parameters fully meet the design expectations.
