On November 21, 2008, the Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement deciding to conduct a final review of the anti-dumping measures applicable to toluene diisocyanate (TDI) originating in Japan, South Korea and the United States. The survey began on November 22, 2008 and should be completed by November 21, 2009.
On November 22, 2003, the Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement deciding to impose anti-dumping measures on imported TDI originating in Japan, South Korea, and the United States. The implementation period is five years from November 22, 2003.
On September 1, 2008, the Ministry of Commerce received applications from the two companies, Hebei Cangzhou Dahua TDI Co., Ltd. and Lanxing Chemical Co., Ltd., on behalf of China's TDI industry to formally submit an anti-dumping review. The claimant claims that if anti-dumping measures are terminated, the dumping of imported TDI originating in Japan, South Korea, and the United States may continue to occur in China.
