(1) Location selection

The installation position must ensure that the pipe is always filled with the measured liquid. Select a place where the liquid flow pulse is small, and keep away from local resistances such as pumps, valves, and elbows. When measuring two-phase (solid, liquid, and gas, liquid) liquids, choose a place that is not likely to cause phase separation. The inner diameter or perimeter of the pipe being measured is easy to measure, and the ellipticity should be small.

(2) Environment selection

As far as possible away from equipment with strong electromagnetic fields, such as large motors, large transformers, large inverters. The installation site should not have strong vibrations, the pipelines should be firmly fixed and the ambient temperature should not change much (to prevent the two-phase change of solid and liquid). The installation environment should be easy to install and maintain.

(3) Straight pipe length

The length of the straight section on the upstream side of the sensor installation pipeline should be greater than or equal to 10D, and the downstream side should be not less than 5D (D is the diameter of the pipeline under test).

(4) Flow Control Valves and Regulating Valves

The flow control valve shall be installed in the measured pipeline on the upstream side of the sensor, and the flow regulating valve shall be installed on the downstream side of the sensor. Flow, usually the flow control valve should be fully open.
