Create four industry centers
After the establishment of the research center, it will focus on building four centers in the heavy-duty automotive industry: technological innovation center, achievement transformation center, information and technology exchange center, and talent training center.
The project construction is divided into two phases. The first-phase construction will last for three years. The planned investment is 337 million yuan. After completion, the vehicles can be tested for routine performance, reliability and comprehensive strengthening road assessment, and special tests; at the same time, they can meet the day-to-day management needs of the test site.
Liu Wei, Director of China National Heavy Duty Truck Technology Center, said that in the near future it will mainly build the “five technology platforms†of the center: the research and development platform for heavy-duty vehicle vehicle and body technology R&D platforms, automotive high-end electronics and other core components, heavy-duty vehicles and Assembly parts test and test platform, development and research platform for heavy-duty vehicle new materials and new processes, and application and promotion platform for auto parts remanufacturing technology.
冀 transition to the "creation" stage
As one of the leading companies in the domestic heavy-duty auto industry, in the first quarter of this year, CNHTC Group produced 32,747 heavy-duty vehicles and sold 31,889 vehicles, which was basically the same as the same period of last year. The domestic market share reached 31.2%, an increase of 11.9% year-on-year. Among them, 18,123 heavy-duty vehicles and 18,029 were sold in March, up 17.9% and 19.6% respectively over the same period of last year, setting a new record for domestic heavy-duty truck sales in the same month.
Heavy Truck Group stated that it will rely on the research center, relying on its advantages in industry, technology, information, capital, and talents to lead the industry in developing, coordinating, and integrating resources in the industry, and to undertake technical R&D and application demonstration in the Chinese heavy-duty truck industry. The role of promotion, results promotion and technical services will thus promote the leapfrogging of the heavy-duty vehicle sector from "Made in China" to "Created in China."
The center is also the first national engineering technology research center established in Shandong Province relying on manufacturing companies, and achieved zero breakthrough in the establishment of a national-level engineering and technology research center in Jinan.
