The diaphragm seals the valve body and seat, ensuring no contact with the environment, making it suitable for aseptic processes.
When the valve is closed, the pressure seal that holds the diaphragm moves towards the sealing face of the valve body.
As the pressure plate moves, the diaphragm bends, forcing it towards the center of the body's seat area, thereby closing the flow path.
The interaction between the valve body and pressure plate prevents the diaphragm from being pressed.
The valve can be operated manually or by air, and can also be controlled using a control top and solenoid valve.
