This report comes from Eric Haak:

The McCook Fire Department responded to a fire that broke out early Saturday morning, around 4:00 AM on January 26th, at 5300 Lawndale Avenue. The structure involved was a large 100 by 100-foot semi repair shop. The location presented significant challenges due to limited access and the lack of nearby fire hydrants. Adding to the difficulty, temperatures were hovering around -2 degrees Fahrenheit, making firefighting conditions extremely tough.

Local firefighters worked through the cold and difficult terrain to contain the blaze, which quickly spread through the building. Several images captured by Eric Haak show the intensity of the fire and the efforts of the emergency crews.
