This report comes from Steve Redick.

There was a technical rescue incident last night in the 8500 block of N Olcott. From what I could gather, a worker became trapped after a trench collapse during a construction project in front of a house. The Niles Fire Department responded with their aerial ladder, which had some kind of hoist or pulley system attached but wasn't in use at the time. I saw some shoring in place and a "sewer sucker" actively being used to clear debris. The victim was successfully rescued approximately 90 minutes into the operation and appeared to be in good condition. I managed to take a few good photos of the scene as well.
